Fields of Study

Some thirty-two major fields of study are currently available to students of Fordham College of Liberal Studies(FCLS) and can be completed entirely through evening and weekend classes at Rose Hill (RH), Lincoln Center (LC), and Westchester (W) as indicated below. The Fordham University Undergraduate Bulletin indicates the specific courses (usually eight to ten) required for completion of each major.

The following fields of study can also be selected as majors, however many of the courses required are generally offered during the day. FCLS students considering these majors should do so only if their schedules are such that they are able to attend day classes:

MINORS:

Minors can be completed in virtually every field in which the College offers a major; requirements are listed in each academic department's section of the Fordham University Undergraduate Bulletin. Selection of a minor is optional. It constitutes completion of at least six courses in a field of study other than the major and is intended to provide some structure and recognition for a student's pursuit of knowledge in a second area of interest. The minor, as well as the major, is indicated onthe student's transcript at graduation.
