COLLEGE AT SIXTY

Life begins at 50.
That's why Fordham offers the College at Sixty (named for Fordham's location on 60th Street) for men and women who have both the time and desire to be stimulated by new ideas and new friends.

The College at Sixty, a nationally recognized program, serves as a bridge back into the classroom for persons over 50 interested in learning among a community of peers in a relaxed, intellectual environment. The program welcomes adults from many walks of life. Some are recently retired or work part-time. Others left college early on to marry and raise a family. What they all have in common is a strong desire to learn. Many of them will tell you the best part of the College at Sixty - it offers students the option to either take classes at leisure or become fully-matriculated and pursue a college degree.

College at Sixty studies begin in small liberal arts seminars taught by Fordham University faculty members, many of whom also teach at Fordham's undergraduate and graduate schools of arts & sciences. These seminars cover a variety of topics, such as creative writing, 20th century art, American presidents, the music of Mozart, the novels of Henry James, Freudian psychology, and Plato's philosophy.
