Scholarship Opportunity
The Charles a. Frueauff Foundation, Inc. has made available a grant for the purposes of awarding scholarships to deserving Liberal Studies – Tarrytown students. A number of awards, ranging from $1,500.00 to $3,000.00 will be made to students for the 2005-2006 academic year. One half of the award will be available for the Fall 2005 term, the other half will be available in the Spring term 2006.
Who may apply:
1. Applicants must be matriculated students at Fordham College of Liberal Studies.
2. Applicants must be registered for a minimum of six credits in both the Fall 2005 and Spring 2006 semesters.
3. Applicants must have a cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.75 or above. Continuing students must have this average from Fordham College of Liberal Studies. New students must have the G.P.A. of 2.75 or above from the most recent college or school attended.
4. Previous Frueauff recipients must re-apply and submit a new essay.
How to apply:
1. Application forms are available in the FCLS Tarrytown Dean’s office. Applications can also be downloaded from the website at www.fordham.edu/fclstt, under student resources.
2. The completed application form, which includes a required essay of 750-1,000 words, must be returned to the FCLS Tarrytown Dean’s office by Friday July 29th. Please submit three copies of both the essay and the application. No fax or e-mail submissions will be accepted. Late submissions will not be accepted.
THE NEXT FRUEAUFF AWARDS WILL BE MADE DURING THE SUMMER OF 2006.
How awards will be made:
1. Scholarships will be awarded by a committee of FCLS deans and faculty members on the twofold basis of student eligibility and merit of the essay.
2. Awards will be announced on Friday August 12th
