LINCOLN CENTER | ROSE HILL | Westchester

As a student earning a bachelor’s degree in history, you will learn about global cultures, events, and themes—from medieval warfare to the war in Vietnam, from early monasticism to sexual revolutions, from technology to food.

Fordham offers a variety of opportunities for history majors:
  • a wide range of electives and seminars
  • internships at places like The New York Historical Society,
    the Bronx African American Oral History Project, and the
    Asia Society
  • a certification program in education, allowing you to teach
    history in public schools
  • an accelerated M.A. program that can be entered in your
    senior year

Careers

A major in history develops communication, research, and analytic skills that are in great demand in many fields including business, public service, international work, publishing, journalism, education and social work.
