Faculty of Arts and Sciences
Since the founding of Fordham in 1841, Arts and
Sciences has been fundamental to the mission
of the institution. Today, as the Jesuit University
of New York, Fordham is thriving as it aggressively
pursues the goals set forth in its strategic plan,
Toward 2016, to become the premier Catholic
university in the nation. Arts and Sciences is
the heart of achieving this goal.
A single faculty serves the four schools of Arts
and Sciences at Fordham University; Fordham
College at Rose Hill in the Bronx in New York City,
Fordham College at Lincoln Center in Manhattan, the
Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at both
of those campuses, and Fordham College of Liberal
Studies at both campuses, and additionally at the
Westchester campus north of New York City. The
Jesuit tradition, on all campuses, is characterized
by excellence in teaching and by the care and
development of each student.
