Dr. Lee W. Badger, Professor in the Graduate School of Social Service, has been appointed to the Fr. Nicholas J. Langenfeld, S.J., Chair in Social Research. This newly established chair honors Rev. Nicholas J. Langenfeld, S.J., professor at the Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service for more than thirty years. It also celebrates his lifetime commitment to the study of the conditions of children and families, social development and international social work. Fr. Langenfeld was dedicated to developing a knowledge base that would help professionals understand the forces that shape social and human behavior. The appointment of Dr. Badger acknowledges her leadership in social work research, education and scholarship in health and mental health.
