Select Fordham University juniors are eligible to apply for early admission to the Master of Arts in Ethics and Society program. Typically, the combined bachelor’s and master’s degree program is completed in a total of five years. Undergraduates accepted into the program take two courses toward the master’s degree in the senior year. These courses also count toward the credits required for the bachelor's degree. The three-day "Theories and Applications in Contemporary Ethics" course is taken during the month of May following the senior year. Finally, seven courses are taken during the two semesters following the senior year, fulfilling the requirements for the combined degree.
Undergraduate students currently matriculated in one of the colleges of Fordham University with a GPA of 3.2 or better may apply in the spring semester of the junior year.

The admission requirements are:
Official transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended, including Fordham University. The applicant's current GPA must be 3.2 or better.
Three letters of recommendation
Resume
A statement of interest in, and match of the student’s goals for the program with the expertise and activities of the master's program. Students must provide evidence of training, education, or practical experience in an area related to the fields and topics encompassed by the master’s program.
Students are expected to have demonstrated some previous education, experience, or training in at least one of the core areas of ethics scholarship (philosophy, theology, or the human sciences/practice)
Students who do not meet the above requirements may be asked to complete an undergraduate courses prior to entry into the master’s program in order to orient them to the topics and methods of study of the master’s program
Only undergraduates with a GPA of 3.5 or better at the time an early-admission application is submitted will be eligible to applyfor merit-based financial aid from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS) to support graduate studies undertaken after the bachelor's degreehas been earned. Using the typical five-year scenario to provide an example of whatthis means, only those juniors possessing a GPA of 3.5 or better at the time an early-admission application is submitted will be eligible to apply for merit-based financial aid to support the fifth year of study,i.e., the year following earning the bachelor's degree.
