MARK COOPER PRESENTS MEDIA OWNERSHIP RESEARCH

On Tuesday, September 28th, McGannon Center Research Fellow, Dr. Mark Cooper, presented results from his ongoing research on the measurement of media concentration and diversity.  Dr. Cooper, with the support of the Ford Foundation, has developed a comprehensive media ownership database that has allowed him to investigate the strengths and weaknesses of the Federal Communications Commission's controversial Diversity Index.  Dr. Cooper presented his work to a gathering of Fordham University faculty and graduate students.
