McGannon Center Director Philip Napoli participated in a symposium sponsored by the Brookings Institution and New York University Law School's Brennan Center for Law and Justice on the subject of developing a state-level system of auditing the strength of democracy.  Professor Napoli's session was devoted to the question of developing methods and metrics for assessing the media and the extent to which they are structured and operated in ways that adhere to democratic principles.
