Emma Bowen Conference












MCGANNON CENTER HOSTS EMMA L. BOWEN FOUNDATION CONFERENCE -- TIME WARNER CHAIRMAN & CEO RICHARD PARSONS DELIVERS KEYNOTE



6.12.05-6.14.05. The Donald McGannon Communication Research Center hosted the annual conference of the Emma L. Bowen Foundation for Minority Interests in Media.  The three-day conference brought together over 100 students from across the nation who are participating in the Foundation’s internship programs at media companies across the United States.  Speakers at this year’s conference included WCBS-TV news anchor Roz Abrams, Fordham Business School faculty member Mark Walton, and Time Warner Chairman and CEO Dick Parsons, who served as the event’s keynote speaker.

The conference addressed a wide range of topics, including career opportunities for young media professionals, the state of diversity in the media, and the changing advertising landscape.

 

This is the second year that the McGannon Center has hosted the Emma Bowen Foundation’s annual conference.
