International Education and Initiatives
Welcome to the Office of International Initiatives (OII). Our Office is responsible for providing leadership, strategic support and guidance for furthering the internationalization of Fordham University. We are dedicated to guiding the university toward developing high quality programming and partnerships in furtherance of the University's mission. We look forward to continued success in promoting global learning and cross-cultural collaborations amongst students, faculty, and our partners nationally and internationally.
Our mission is to facilitate the internationalization efforts made by faculty and staff through several offices including the Office for International Services, the Institute of American Language and Culture and the International Study Abroad Programs Office. These offices serve:
- New students and scholars from other countries who wish to study or teach at Fordham University
- New international students who wish to learn or improve English language skills or their understanding and performance in American higher education
- Current students who wish to live and learn outside of the United States.
In addition to the services and guidance provided by the Offices above, OII collaborates with our strategic partners located in China, the United Kingdom, and South Africa and with the United Nations to provide programming that reflects the mission of the University.
We are fortunate to be able to offer opportunities not only through Fordham University, but also in collaboration with our national and international Jesuit partners.
For further information on Fordham University’s international educational opportunities, or to learn about the establishment of new initiatives or partnerships, please review our procedures and contact us with questions.
Thank you for your interest. We look forward to working with you.
