Financial Matters

Completing the Fordham Study Abroad Application is one of the biggest steps you will take in the application/preparation process. For most full-term and short-term programs, students complete both the appropriate Fordham application and the application of their chosen program.

If you are a non-Fordham student seeking to apply to a Fordham-run program (such as Fordham in Granada or London Dramatic Academy), you should also consult with your home campus study abroad office.

All study abroad applicants should carefully review the Study Abroad Guidelines.
Full TerM

The Study Abroad Application Process involves completing two applications:

1. Fordham Full Term Application The Fordham application is completed online. To begin, use the find a program feature. Once you've found your program, you can click the "apply" button. You will see a list of items that you will need to complete online.

Required materials that will be requested:
  • Application Fee The required non-refundable application fee ($175) will be charged to your Fordham University Student Account and is adjusted so that applications received during the above-mentioned Early Action Period datesare subject to a discounted fee ($125).
  • Statement of Purpose Questionnaire
  • Major Advisor Reference for FC students only or Dean Reference for GSB students only
  • Academic Reference
  • Language Evaluation (if applicable)
Please note that applications cannot be reviewed until ALL of the forms above are received. We cannot guarantee acceptance to students who submit applications by the Early Action dates, but the closer to these dates an application is received, the greater chance a student has of being considered for approval by Fordham and admitted into his/her chosen program. Approval remains subject to review of academic performance, personal conduct the semesters before study abroad, and the reasons advanced for seeking a study abroad experience. Most students will be notified about the status of their application within one month its completion, but some may take a little longer.

2. Provider's Application Your chosen program will have an application to complete.
  • Each program requires completion of a separate application, which is available in their brochures or online.
  • You do not need to wait to hear from ISAP before starting the program application.
  • Most program applications contain a program approval form which must be turned in to the ISAP office and signed by the ISAP Director.  Names for the form vary depending on the program.  Please note that the form cannot be signed until the Fordham Study Abroad Application has been received and reviewed.  Once it has been signed, it will be sent directly to the program.
  • In other cases, students must turn in their completed program application to ISAP instead of a program approval form.  ISAP will send this application directly to the program on the student’s behalf.
IMPORTANT: When sending the program application, makesure to include everything requiredby the program, including an official transcript.  Transcripts can be obtained on the first floor of Thebaud Hall at Rose Hill or room 216A in the Lowenstein Building at Lincoln Center. We recommend that you pick up the transcript yourself (as opposed to having it mailed to the program), so you can include it with the rest of your application. Requests are generally fulfilled within 7-10 business days. Please note that requests are not processed while the University is closed, and may take longer to process during peak times.
