F-1 Student On-Campus Employment

On-campus employment is limited to twenty hours per week while school is in session but may increase to full-time during annual school vacations.

On-campus employment is defined as employment performed on the school’s premises, including employment with on-campus commercial firms, like the bookstore or cafeteria, which provide services for students.

Fordham students may seek on-campus jobs at Rose Hill, Lincoln Center and Tarrytown.  A letter of authorization from the Office of International Students is required.

The Office of Student Employment coordinates almost all student positions on campus.   Many student jobs are funded through the federal government’s Work-Study Program and you must be a citizen or permanent resident to be eligible.   Many other jobs are funded through the Office of Student Employment, which is part of the Financial Aid office.  Students interested in working on-campus should sign up in the Office of Student Employment.

We suggest that you inquire at the following locations to find on-campus jobs:

1.  Rose Hill Office of Student Employment, Thebaud Hall, First Floor.  LC Office of Student Employment, Room 203.

2. The following locations frequently hire students through their own departmental budgets, not through Student Employment. The pay is sometimes higher than that paid through Student Employment:
