Global Transition Program

Register now for Global Transition 2014, and is held on August 26th to August 30th. It is a great opportunity to meet other undergraduate international students and learn more about Fordham. This five-day program will introduce you to Fordham's campus, New York City, and all the resources Fordham has to offer. It truly is the best way to transition into your Fordham career.

Immigration Attorney Presentation- Wed, Nov. 14
Come hear about Life After F-1. Subjects to be discussed include Immigrant and Non-immigrant visas, H-1b, permanent residency, etc.

One to World's International Prom Night- Thursday, Nov. 15

Don't miss out on this American tradition! Live DJ music, dancing, refreshments, personal prom photos, and 350 Int'l guests from around NYC!

Counseling Center - A Meeting for International Students- at RH and LC!
At Home in the World: This meeting for international students will focus on adjustments to the United States, New York, and Fordham.  It will look at adjustment issues as well as questions about identity.

Institute of American Language and Culture
IALC offers workshops in all levels of English on pronunciation, grammer, conversation, and TOEFL. These workshops are open and complimentary to all matriculated international students at Fordham. Contact esl@fordham.edu for more info.

One To World
This organization creates unique programs for international students in the New York metro area.  The are designed to:
Introduce you to a variety of American people and help you experience American life and culture, in all of it's diversity.
Help you meet other international students at universities across the New York area for support and excahnge.  Did you know there are over 65,000 international students here?
Enable you to apply your academic and regional expertise, offering fresh perspectives and ideas to Americans!

Some examples of their programs:
     Spend time with a U.S. host family on a Community Visit over the Thanksgiving Holiday.
     Discover Harlem on a One To World Walk!
     Get to know the "working world" in the U.S. on one of their Campus-To-Career programs.
     Present your country and culture to N.Y.C. Public School students with Global Classroom.
     Volunteer to help the hungry and homeless through a Community Service program.
     Unwind with us over lively conversation at one of our many social events.
