Presently Fordham University offers its students and non-Fordham students opportunities to use the world as a classroom for both semester and short term lengths. At the heart of Fordham's study abroad programs is the idea of the world as the classroom. Small and informal class settings let students explore subjects from a new perspective and in a unigue setting.
Fordham operates its own full-term abroad programs in Spanish studies at Universidad de Granada, in theater, liberal arts and business studies at our London Centre at Heythrop College and now in service learing at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
Fordham University's short-term, faculty-led programs abroad allow Fordham and non-Fordham students to incorporate a global dimension into their eduation - without committing to a semester or a full year abroad in places like Manila, Rome, Paris and Tokyo.
Fordham Programs develop courses with the specific host cities in mind - courses best taught in cities such as Granada, London, Manila, Paris, Pretoria, Rome or Tokyo. With Fordham faculty as their guides, students engage with the world openly and experience firsthand the vibrancy and excitement of foreign cultures, while reflecting on the challenges, opportunites and responsibilities of the world. |
