The Lilly Fellows Program (LFP) in the Humanities and the Arts supports graduate study for students who were undergraduates at an LFP Network School. Applicants must be interested in becoming teacher-scholars at church-related colleges and universities in the United States. The Program includes four conferences over the course of three years, mentoring relationships, and an online colloquium.
The Fellows Program awards $3,000 a year, for three years. The Fellowship awards can be used at the Fellow's discretion.
- be a U.S. citizen
- be a graduating senior (or have received a bachelor's degree after April 2009) at an LFP network insitution
- be accepted into a Ph.D., M.F.A., D.M.A., or Th.D. or equivalent program by June 1, 2014
- engage in modes of Christian practice and inquiry and demonstrate an interest in teaching at a church-related school
Eligible disciplines are: art; art history; creative writing; history; interdisciplinary studies; languages and literature; music; music history; philosophy; religion; rhetoric; theater history; theater arts, and theology. Nominees must be nominated by their LFP Network undergraduate institution.
