Institute of American Language and Culture
|
Fordham University’s Institute of American Language and Culture (IALC) provides courses in English as a Second Language (ESL) to students at all levels of proficiency.
The IALC offers a challenging learning environment for students who want to improve their English for academic, business or social purposes. The IALC’s highly qualified and experienced faculty integrates all language skills with the use of grammar in context. American culture is an essential component of each course. For students at the advanced level, the curriculum features a wide variety of content courses.
The IALC specializes in preparing non-native English speakers for study in an American university classroom. Many IALC students apply to and enroll in Fordham’s undergraduate or graduate programs during or shortly after completion of their English language studies at the IALC.
