ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
High school graduates age 18 or older are eligible to apply. All students must complete a placement exam in the IALC office prior to registration.
For international students who intend to enter the intensive full-time program, the Institute issues I-20 forms (the application for an F-1 student visa) through the Office of International Services.
To receive an I-20 form, you must submit the following materials:
1. A completed Institute of American Language and Culture application form.
2. A $100 non-refundable tuition deposit (a check made out to "Fordham University")
3. An original bank statement/letter in English verifying that the required amount of money will be available for student use -- see Affidavit of Support Form for the minimum requirements. If room and board (meals) will be provided by a relative or friend, a notarized letter confirming the arrangement should be submitted.
4. A notarized Affidavit of Support Form completed and signed by the holder of the bank account.
Note to Transfer Students: In addition to the above-listed items, you must submit a completed Fordham University transfer form and a copy of your current I-20, following acceptance to our program.
