APPLICATION PROCESS AND DEADLINES

_
The Fordham Study Abroad Application and the chosen Study Abroad Program Application are completed concurrently. Please note that the latter application deadlines vary, and many programs offer rolling admissions and can fill up many months before their published deadlines. With that in mind, the Fordham SAB Deadlines include the following “Early Action” and “Final Action” dates.

December 1st: Early Action for those applying to Fall and Academic Year programs
April 15th: Early Action for those applying to Spring programs

The absolute final dates by which ISAP can receive applications ("final action") are:

February 15th: Final Action for those applying to Fall and Academic Year programs
!!NEW DEADLINE!! September 10th: Final Action for those applying to Spring programs

The following forms are due by the application deadline:

*General Background Information Form           *Major Advisor Reference
*Non-Refundable Application Fee                *Academic Reference
*Statement of Purpose Questionnaire            *Language Evaluation (if applicable)

*Chosen Study Abroad Program Application - Host School Approval Form
  (for ISAP Director's signature)

  Program Application

*Course approval Form
  (with appropriate signatures)

  *Passport Copy

TO CONSIDER:

* Applications will be reviewed once the required application fee and ALL necessary
   forms are received.
* The required non-refundable application fee ($125) is adjusted so that applications
received 45 days after the “Early Action” above dates are subject to a higher fee
   ($175).
* While we cannot guarantee acceptance to students who submit applications by the
“Early Action” dates, the closer to these dates an application is received, the
greater chance a student has of being considered for approval by Fordham and
   admitted to his/her chosen program.
* Approval remains subject to review of academic performance and personal conduct
the semseters before study abroad as well as the reasons advanced for seeking a
study abroad experience. All students will be notified about the status of their
application within one month of receipt by ISAP.
* Make sure to include everything required by your chosen program SAB application,
   including the official Fordham transcript.
* All programs require a Fordham approval/nomination/endorsement form which is to
be handed in to the ISAP office with the copy of your chosen program application.
Please note that only Fordham’s Director of Study Abroad can sign this form and
that to do so he has to review the required Fordham Application forms noted above.
* Mandatory Pre-Departure Sessions will be held in December/May just before final
exams. At these we will provide information about your upcoming study abroad
experience and collect your signed Financial Worksheet and the Final Student
   Agreement form.
