Voice Training for Actors - 4 credits

Speech
Develops students’ sense of received pronunciation in spoken English and establishes clarity and variety in theatrical and everyday language. Sight reading in a variety of styles is also addressed.
Voice
Intensive voice training teaches skills required for the young actor. This module progressively advances relaxation, alignment, breathing, pitch and resonance, tone, pace, range and articulation skills. Students learn how to integrate these techniques.
Dialect
Every accent and dialect has its individual form of delivery and rhythm. This course gives students training in the principal accents of the United Kingdom and Ireland.
