What Are Prestigious Scholarships and Fellowships?

Financial and intellectual awards given in recognition of outstanding personal and academic achievements and future potential for scholarly distinction are widely known as scholarships and fellowships.  Today's scholarship and fellowship winners are often tomorrow's leaders in the arts, sciences, business, politics, and education; these student scholars have long been celebrated for their unique contributions to society and the world.  They share a common passion for academic excellence, personal development and distinction, and dedication to high ideals.  Generally, most awards provide financial support for graduate study either abroad or in the United States; however, there are several that provide support for undergraduate study.

You can find additional information about the major available awards throughout our website. If you visit the Awards at a Glance page, you will find brief scholarship summaries with links to the official websites. In addition, on our Scholarships and Fellowships page, awards are arranged according to academic year.

Browsing the available awards will help you decide which to target based on your background and your qualifications and aspirations. This will also help you discover which may be better suited to your long-term academic and career goals.

Although we have tried to be as comprehensive as possible and list a wide range of available awards, we strongly encourage students to search for others on their own.  If there are any additional external scholarships that you discover and wish to apply for, you may  contact us for help and guidance.  As always, careful research and preparation during the application process will increase your ultimate chances of success.
