Conservation Biology

This program is targeted towards students interested in gaining the expertise in conservation biology necessary for addressing existing and emerging threats to the world’s ecosystems, biodiversity and human health

Biomedical Informatics

This program is targeted toward students interested in gaining the computing and information science background increasingly necessary in medicine, health care, the biotechnology industry, government, and the financial sectors specializing in biomedical science and technology.

Both Graduate Certificates are awarded after completion of 15 credits (4 courses + a research experience), and are open to students currently in our graduate program, as well as to other students interested in completing just the certificate program. Opportunities exist for members of partner institutions, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Hospital, the New York Botanical Garden, and the Wildlife Conservation Society/Bronx Zoo, and for others to work on projects at these institutions.
