CELL/MOLECULAR BIOLOGIST

    Individuals are invited to apply for a tenure-track position at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR or the ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR level. An ongoing grant-supported research effort is required for consideration at the Associate Professor level. The department has an active research program with a recently launched Center for Cancer, Genetic Diseases, and Gene Regulation (CCGDGR) that provides excellent facilities and competitive start-up funds and salary. Candidates with research interests compatible with our CCGDGR in areas such as stem cells, cancer, development, genetic diseases, or cellular physiology are particularly encouraged to apply. The appointee will be expected to establish and maintain an active research program and participate in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. ECOLOGY FACULTY POSITION
FORDHAM UNIVERSITY



   The Department of Biological Sciences of Fordham University invites applicants for a tenure track faculty position at the ASSISTANT or ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR level for Fall 2010. We seek a population, community or evolutionary ecologist who studies freshwater fish, invertebrates or microbes. The successful applicant will have access to Fordham’s biological field station – the Louis Calder Center - and our new Center for Conservation, Evolution and Urban Ecology (CCEUE), as well as the opportunity to work with scientists at the Wildlife Conservation Society, American Museum of Natural History, the New York Botanical Garden, and other scientific institutions in the region. The successful candidate is expected to make use of local and regional resources to develop or continue a rigorous, externally-funded research program, and is expected to teach courses and mentor individual research projects at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Postdoctoral experience is expected.
