Graduate Assistantships and Financial Aid
The Program in Public Communications is pleased to offer two Graduate Assistantship Awards within the program:
WFUV-FM is offering 3 graduate assistantship awards:
Successful candidates (3) will have been accepted into the M.A. Program in Public Communications at Fordham University and will be offered a part-time position in one of the following areas:
Further requirements include strong GRE scores, a 3.2 G.P.A, and a distinguished undergraduate record. The assistantship can carry a full tuition scholarship to complete MA studies (12 months) and a stipend of $18,500 for a 20-hour work week at WFUV-FM during the academic year. - Producer position for the station’s public affairs program, Cityscape. Requires strong research, interview and writing skills. Prior reporting and/or audio production experience a big plus. Must be a team player and have a keen interest in immersing yourself into New York City history and culture.
- Producer position for the morning show. Must be a creative, self starter. Music know-how a plus, journalism students encouraged , experience in audio editing helpful but not required. Position provides great, hands-on, multi-media experience.
- Producer position in WFUV’s Music Department. Requires knowledge or contemporary music and AAA format, advanced organizational abilities, and excellent follow through. Audio production or radio experience a plus.
