Al Auster is an Associate Professir (Clinical) in the Department of Communication and Media Studies of Fordham University (Rose Hill). Professor Auster is the author of four books. The most recent is the third edition of his co-authored (with Leonard Quart) book, American Film and Society since 1945. He was an editor of Cineaste magazine, and has been a frequent contributor to Television Quarterly and the Journal of Popular Film and Television.
