Johanna Francis is an associate professor in the Department of Economics at Fordham University.  She received her Ph.D. in economics from the Department of Economics at Johns Hopkins University.  Her research interests are in the fields of macroeconomics, monetary theory and open economy macroeconomics.  Her work focuses on the microfoundations of macroeconomics, in particular, on the theory of consumption and saving behavior, entrepreneurship, and the distribution of wealth as well as the role of the banking system in aggregate fluctuations.
