Literature and Creative Writing
The graduate and undergraduate creative writing programs exist as an integrated part of a research-based English department with a lively interest in the relationship between creative writing and the study of literary texts from a variety of critical and theoretical vantage points. We believe that the study of literature and the practice of writing are mutually reinforcing.Join the Community
Our core faculty members are both scholars and creative writers. We offer small classes in a personal, advisor-driven environment, relying on core faculty and two rotating writer-in-residence positions.
Poets Out Loud
Fordham University's Manhattan Lincoln Center Campus is home to Poets Out Loud, which has fostered the appreciation, creation, and study of poetry since its inception in 1992. CURA: A Literary Magazine of Art and Action

The award winning campus newspaper, The Observer, is one of the few campus papers in the nation with a Literary Section, and in 2011, was named the best college newspaper in the state by the New York Press Association.
