Eva Badowska Associate Chair at Rose Hill, Associate Professor B.A., University of Sussex (UK); Ph.D., Cornell University   Professor Badowska’s publications include articles on Victorian fiction (in PMLA and Victorian Literature and Culture), feminist theory (in Tulsa Studies in Women’s Literature), psychoanalytic theory (in The Psychoanalytic Review) and Polish poetry (in Parnassus: Poetry in Review). She is completing The Bourgeois Interior: Persons and Things in Victorian Fiction, a book exploring the psychological fictions of the Brontës and sensation novels by Mary Elizabeth Braddon and Sheridan LeFanu. The manuscript maps out the contours of interiority in a world that was gradually being captivated by the peculiar resonance of things, best depicted by the Great Exhibition of 1851.
