Lenny cassuto Professor B.A., Columbia University; A.M., Harvard University; Ph.D., Harvard University   Lenny Cassuto is the author of The Inhuman Race: The Racial Grotesque In American Literature and Culture (Columbia, 1997) and the editor of three other volumes. He is currently serving as General Editor of The Cambridge History of the American Novel. Cassuto’s book on twentieth-century American crime fiction, Hard-Boiled Sentimentality, will be published in fall of 2008 by Columbia University Press. His articles about American crime fiction have lately appeared in The Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, The Minnesota Review, and other publications. Cassuto is also an award-winning journalist.
