Shonni Enelow specializes in modern drama and performance. She recently co-authored a casebook on theater and the nonhuman with Una Chaudhuri, titled Research Theatre, Climate Change, and the Ecocide Project: A Casebook (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014), which includes her one-act play, Carla and Lewis. She is currently completing a book on mid-twentieth-century American drama and realist acting. Her other publications include "The Literary Life of Performance," in Theater (2013); "The Method and the Means: James Baldwin at the Actors Studio" in Theatre Survey (2012); and "Animalizing Performance, Becoming-Theater" in Theatre Topics (2006), also co-authored with Una Chaudhuri. Her interests include comparative literature, new materialism, gender and sexuality, and philosophy and critical theory. She also writes for the theater.
