Shonni Enelow writes about modern and postmodern theater and performance. She is currently completing a book on mid-twentieth-century American drama and realist acting. Her publications include "The Literary Life of Performance," in Theater (forthcoming, 2013); "The Method and the Means: James Baldwin at the Actors Studio" in Theatre Survey (2012); and "Animalizing Performance, Becoming-Theater" in Theatre Topics (2006), co-authored with Una Chaudhuri. Other interests include film and video art, theater and the non-human, gender and sexuality, and philosophy and cultural theory. She also writes for performance.
