Fordham has a long history of preparing students for medical, dental, and other health professions careers.  Students interested in preparing for a doctoral-level health professions career may pursue majors in the natural sciences, social sciences, or humanities.  They should declare their interest to the admissions office, since such information is vital in preparing their freshman schedules, and they should participate actively in the Laennec Society.
