Student Profile

This is a multi-disciplinary training institute for students from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, who wish to extend their knowledge by receiving practical, managerial and theoretical training in humanitarian affairs. Students must have at least an undergraduate degree and a minimum of five years professional experience. Preference will be given to students with humanitarian field experience, emergency or development. In many cases, participants have other graduate or terminal professional degrees.  All courses are conducted in English.

Students come from a variety of different organizations, including a multitude of international non-governmental and inter-governmental organizations, as well as all humanitarian United Nations agencies.  Please feel free to browse all four of our professional modules, as well as the MIHA, which incorporates every module into a comprehensive masters program.
