International Diploma in Operational Humanitarian Assistance (IDOHA)
 8 Credits

The IDOHA consists of three required courses and one elective course. The IDOHA module is designed to deepen the understanding of humanitarian operations and explore theoretical and practical implications of the evolving humanitarian institutional environment.

The elective course allows students to choose a specialized area for more detailed knowledge of a specific subject. Each course in the module
includes a lecture on research methods so that students are introduced to practices used by different fields.

Upon completion of this module, students should be able to choose a thesis topic and identify the committee for their project.

Advanced Certificate Option

The International Diploma in Operational Humanitarian Assistance (IDOHA) has been approved by New York State's Education Department as an Advanced Certificate program.  Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive an Advanced Certificate from Fordham University's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS).  This Advanced Certificate is equivalent to 8 graduate level academic credits that are accepted
towards our Master of Arts in International Humanitarian Action and maybe to other academic institutions.

If you are interested in applying for the Advanced Certificate, please contact Alexandra DeBlock at 212-636-7646 or miha@fordham.edu for more information.
