About DMTC

The Center for International Health and Cooperation (CIHC), in partnership with Americares, is purposing a series of four one-week intensive training programs for senior level personnel of all organizations that respond to hurricanes and resulting complex emergencies.  Using as its model the CIHC's highly successful International Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance (IDHA) program, these identical training programs would be held throughout the Caribbean and Latin America, building on the existent strengths and relationships of both the CIHC and Americares.

Each DMTC will be identical, with approximately 20 – 25 participants in every course.  The courses will be held every six months, each time in a different location within the target region so as to ensure a diverse group of participants from many countries within the region.
