The Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs co-sponsored along with the Crowley Institute for Human Rights, a speaking tour organized by Collective Campaign for Peace (COCAP) and International Nepal Solidarity Network. The main speaker of the tour made a presention at Fordham University on Wednesday, April 27th, at 12:00 PM in the Lowenstien Building 12th Floor.

The current humanitarian crises have challenged the international humanitarian community to review-in a critical and open fashion- where we currently are, and what are the new challenges facing our identity, mandates and methodology.

What happens when you bring together top researchers and scientists to examine how their hi-tech solutions can make life better for the poorest people in the low-tech underdeveloped world? They get tremendously excited; want to create a new curriculum, Technology and Humanitarian Aid; and are anxious to visit aid projects to see how their technologies can be adapted to help people.
"Human Security for All: A Tribute to Sergio Vieira de Mello"
An extraordinary gathering of friends and colleagues of Sergio Vieira de Mello, UN envoy to Iraq killed in the August 19 blast at UN headquarters in Baghdad, paid tribute to him on December 8, 2003, in an all-day high-level symposium that examined the future of humanitarian action following that watershed tragedy.
