JESUIT UNIVERSITies HUMANITARIAN ACTION NETWORK
History of JUHAN
The Jesuit Universities Humanitarian Action Network (JUHAN) emerged from a series of discussions between the Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs at Fordham University, the Center for Faith and Public Life at Fairfield University, and the Institute of the Study of Migration at Georgetown University. Recognizing university communities' great potential to mobilize and respond to humanitarian crises both locally and around the globe, JUHAN seeks to educate campus communities on humanitarian crises and build leadership teams at each institution which in turn will facilitate the organizational changes necessary for supporting effective responses to future crises.
