The International Humanitarian Affairs Major
The major program is run by the Institute for International Humanitarian Affairs and is overseen by an interdisciplinary committee drawn from the faculty of the following departments: on International Affairs, Political Science, Philosophy, History, Anthropology.

Core Courses

The core requirements consist of four courses taught by the Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs that draw on a wide variety of faculty and practitioners from the UN, NGOs and the private sector.

Elective Requirements

Students must complete six elective courses (two courses from each of the following subject groups):

  1. History, Philosophy and Anthropology Area Studies
  2. Humanitarian Affairs, Political Science, Sociology and Economics
  3. Communications, Women's Studies and Literary Studies
