IPED Intern Fellowships

Students who have done well academically or who are successful in obtaining a selective internship on a competitive basis may fulfill their practical training requirement through the IPED Intern Fellowship Program (PEGA 8090 IPED Intern Fellow). Successful applicants must normally have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better. While internships can be repeated, fellowship awards are given only once. IPED Intern Fellows are exempted from any tuition charges associated with their internship. Successful applicants will also be able to receive a modest stipend of at least US$500 and as high as US$3,000.

Summer Selective Internships
Each summer the IPED Program, frequently in cooperation with our alumni, designate a number of specially selected internships in the private sector, in government, and in the non-profit sector. Internships during the summer are normally 16 hours per week but can be full-time and usually last from six to eight weeks. Once selected, the sponsoring organization will give you more details regarding your responsibilities. Any IPED student in good academic standing (GPA = 3.0 or higher) who succeeds in obtaining a selective internship on a competitive basis will also be awarded an intern fellowship. If, however, you do not apply for one of the designated selective internships listed below, you are still eligible for an intern fellowship. The decision to grant you an intern fellowship will then be based on your academic performance (GPA = 3.5 or higher) as well as the quality of your chosen internship.
