The Department of Mathematics at Fordham University invites applications for a Peter M. Curran Research Instructorship beginning in Fall of 2012. This a fixed term position to be offered to a graduating or recent Ph.D. who has demonstrated strong research potential and success in undergraduate teaching. The initial term is two years with an option, subject to satisfactory performance in the initial two years, for one two-year renewal. Candidates in all areas of pure and applied mathematics are encouraged to apply. We are especially interested in those whose specialties give promise of leading to research collaborations with our permanent faculty, or who have applied their work in collaborations with researchers in non-mathematical disciplines.
