Francesca Parmeggiani's research and teaching focus on post-World War II Italy, nineteenth- and twentieth-century women's writing, feminist theory, and cinema. She is the author of Lo spessore della letteratura (Longo, 2007), a study of the fictional adaptations of Scriptures by Italian writers in the 1960s and 1970s. Her articles have appeared in Annali d'Italianistica, Forum Italicum, Italica, Italianistica, Quaderni d'Italianistica, Romance Languages. She is a member of the Twentieth-Century Italian Literature Division of the Modern Language Association and of the Executive Board of the Society for Textual Scholarship.
