NOTE: Students who intend to minor in Russian should prepare their schedules in consultation with a Russian faculty adviser. To declare the minor and be assigned an adviser, please contact the Department Associate Chair in your college.

Students minoring in Russian will take a minimum of six courses numbered 1501 (Intermediate Russian I) and higher. These courses will normally include Russian Language and Literature (RUSS 2001), and three elective courses (or more, depending upon intial placement) to be selected in consultation with the Russian adviser. Students who place out of any of the following, RUSS 1501, 1502 and/or 2001, will replace them with upper-level courses.


Elective courses
may include:
RUSS 3020-Russian Short Novel;
RUSS 3021-Russian Novel: Dostoevsky;
RUSS 3025-Introduction to Russian Theater;
RUSS 3027-Russian Cinema;

Study Abroad 
Policy:
Up to two courses for the Russian minor may be taken abroad.

NOTE: Students who opt to apply for study abroad credits toward their minor must have these courses approved by their Russian faculty adviser
prior to  their going abroad.
