Location and Travel Information

The conference will take place on the beautiful Rose Hill Campus of Fordham University in Bronx, New York. The campus is conveniently located next to the Fordham Metro North train station and 30 minutes away from the center of Manhattan and LaGuardia International Airport. Just a few minutes away are the famous Bronx Zoo, the New York Botanical Garden and Bronx’s Little Italy.

Travel Options

By Plane – Fordham University is easily accessible from all the major airports in the New York metropolitan area: Kennedy International (JFK), LaGuardia (LGA), Newark (EWR) and White Plains (HPN). The Riverdale/Jitney Limo service will provide transportation to the Rose Hill campus (718-884-9400). Taxi service is available from all airports.

By Train – Amtrak trains from all over the country arrive in New York Penn Station.

By Bus – The Port Authority Bus Terminal receives buses from all over the country.

By Car – Drive in and park on-campus for only $10/day!

Accommodations

Air-conditioned dormitories will be available for conference attendees who wish to stay on-campus at discounted rates (room shares at $65 per night and singles at $135 per night, including three meals daily at the dining hall). Conference and workshop attendees may arrive as early at Tuesday, June 24, 2008 and leave as late as Saturday June 28, 2008.

Transportation to campus is easy from many locations. If you want to stay in Manhattan, you can find quick transportation to the Bronx if your hotel is near Grand Central Terminal (via the Metro North train line) or near Lincoln Center (via subway or Fordham University’s RamVan intercampus transportation system). Either option will have you to campus in about 20 minutes!

Staying in White Plains is another attractive option as the Metro North train line stops in White Plains and Fordham.
