Jodi M. Casabianca, President casabianca@fordham.edu

Jodi, a second year student, earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Statistics and Psychology and her Master of Science degree in Statistics from Rutgers University. She has over 5 years of professional experience as an analyst at Educational Testing Service and The Mount Sinai School of Medicine where she gained proficiency in both SAS and Stata. She currently is President of the Fordham Council on Applied Psychometrics.

Jodi’s research interests include differential item functioning, test score equating, IRT and multivariate methods. Her Master's thesis involves the application of statistical equivalence testing to Mantel-Haenszel DIF detection. She is currently involved in research projects comparing cluster analysis to PAMS (Profile Analysis via Multidimensional Scaling) and statistical cognition.

For fun she enjoys spending time with family/friends, watching movies, cooking, traveling and dancing.

Tammy J. Trierweiler, Vice President trierweiler@fordham.edu

Tammy Trierweiler, a second year Psychometrics doctoral student, earned her Bachelor's and Masters in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College (CUNY). While earning her Master's, Tammy specialized in personality and psychopathy assessment in juvenile populations and was also involved in research related to causality in structural equation modeling.

Her current research interests include structural equation modeling, the evaluation of current reporting techniques of quantitative methods in psychological journals, factor analysis, and multidimensional scaling. She currently serves as the Vice President and Consulting Chair for the Fordham Council on Applied Psychometrics.

 

Michael Chajewski, Treasurer chajewski@fordham.edu

Michael Chajewski was born and raised in Nürnberg, Germany. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Experimental Psychology jointly from the Honors Program of the University of South Carolina and the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK. He completed his Masters of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. Chajewski has worked extensively for the Research Foundation of the City University of New York managing national, state and city-wide research endeavors.

Currently, Chajewski is a first year doctoral student in the Psychometrics-Psychology program at Fordham University. His research interests include geo-spatial standard error and confidence interval data analysis, recidivism measurement and program evaluation.

 

Maria Tsypkina, Secretary tsypkina@fordham.edu

Maria is a second year psychometrics doctoral student. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006 with Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Economics. During her undergraduate career she interned/worked at various organizations, including the National Board of Medical Examiners, Penn Perception Lab and the Center for International Comparisons, where she performed data analysis using SAS. She is presently Secretary of the Fordham Council on Applied Psychometrics and is a member of the Psychometric Society.

Maria’s research interests include Bayesian inference, decision-making models, standardized testing, educational assessment, probability theory and statistics education. Her Master’s Thesis will explore the applicability of a Bayesian statistical decision model within a college admissions setting. She is also involved with a study evaluating an alternate method for interpreting confidence intervals. Maria is currently employed as a Graduate Assistant at Fordham’s Office of Institutional Research, where she utilizes SPSS (command syntax) in numerous projects.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, dining out, traveling, cooking and unwinding with her boyfriend and friends.
