Evan Cooper received a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan and his Ph.D. from the University of Albany. He is currently writing a book that examines the work of several humorists from outsider groups purveying what he describes as culturally-intimate humor; an insider humor steeped in the everyday life of minority cultures. He has published in Sociological Perspectives and in a forthcoming collection on Jewish representations in the mass media..
