Sociology and Anthropology

Sociology Minor Requirements

For those wishing to take a minor in sociology, a total of six courses in sociology are required.  The following are required for a minor:

1. Introduction to Sociology (SORU 1100)
2. Sociological Theory (SORU 2800)
3. Research Methods (SORU 2850)

These three required courses are designed to help the student achieve a basic sociological literacy and a reasonable grasp of empirical research techniques.  The remaining three courses are elective courses, one of which can be an anthropology course.
