Dear Prospective Theatre Student, Parent, and Supporter
Thank you for your interest in Fordham’s Theatre Program. The Fordham University Theatre Program is highly regarded as one of the most outstanding B.A. theatre training programs in the country. The program combines the intimacy of a small conservatory with an exceptional liberal arts education and the rich resources and opportunities available in the world capital of the performing arts.
Located at Fordham College at Lincoln Center (FCLC), on 60th and Columbus, in the heart of New York City, and within walking distance of the Broadway and Off-Broadway theatre districts, the Fordham University Theatre Program is chaired by two-time Obie Award-winner Matthew Maguire. All faculty members are working theatre professionals who help students develop their skills in an intimate and personal atmosphere.
Therefore, whether a student is interested in training to be an Actor, to work in Design and Production, to be a Playwright, a Director, or perhaps, be active in more than one area of theatre, the Fordham Theatre Program's rigorous and well-balanced curriculum, combined with its hands-on training, affords him/her numerous opportunities to excel and succeed.
Please follow the links on this website to find out more about the theatre program and the 2012-2013 audition/interview process.
