Janine has long been interested in interfaith dialogue as a means of peacemaking. She is working on constructive Christian theology that is more hospitable to people of other beliefs. By studying Christian doctrine from border perspectives such as feminist and liberation theologies, she plans to reexamine Christian doctrines of grace from the perspective of religious pluralism.
Janine is ordained in the Episcopal Church and is a Third Order Franciscan in the Society of Saint Francis.
