"Religion" or "Theology"?
Fordham has two religion-related departments, and it matters which one you research, contact, or apply for. Even though both concern the study of religious issues, it helps to find the one that suits your specific interests:
Academic Theology
The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Department of Theology is a department for the academic study of theology. Pastoral Ministry
The Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education is a department for preparation for pastoral ministry. Graduate students who enter this graduate school are prepared for religious education, pastoral counseling, and spiritual direction.
