Catherine Petrany is Ph.D. candidate in biblical studies, with a concentration in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible. Her dissertation examines the intersection the didactic and liturgical language in the book of Psalms in relation to the biblical wisdom corpus. Her research interests include the book of Psalms, wisdom literature, biblical poetry, biblical theology, and the history of Jewish and Christian interpretation of the Bible. In addition to her research, Catherine has developed and taught courses in both Old Testament and theology at Fordham.
