The Undergraduate Program in Theology
Duane Library Theology challenges those who study it to think critically about questions of God, human existence, the world in which we live, and the role of religious traditions in our lives. The undergraduate study of theology at Fordham involves an intellectually sophisticated engagement with the Christian tradition in dialogue with peoples of other faiths.

Both in the Core Curriculum and in the theology major and minor, students learn to read critically and carefully, argue positions soundly, and communicate ideas clearly. All these are invaluable skills in the job market and are prerequisite for advanced study in any field.

The undergraduate theology program works closely with the Dorothy Day Center for Service and Justice, the honors programs at the Rose Hill and Lincoln Center campuses, and other Fordham departments and offices. We also host a chapter of Theta Alpha Kappa, the national honor society in theology and religious studies.
